Greetings, and welcome to the official website of the Eta Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha

Sorority, Incorporated®, chartered on November 11, 1961.

It is my esteemed honor to serve as the 29th President of this distinguished chapter. Founded on

the tenets of sisterhood and service, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® has a long and

proud legacy - one that our chapter continues to uphold. Eta Xi Omega was chartered by 14

dynamic and visionary women who sought to expand our sorority’s reach and impact throughout

Tuscaloosa and the West Alabama area. Today, our chapter has grown to more than 250

members, and our commitment to “Service to All Mankind” has grown right along with us.

Our program theme for the 2026 – 2030 administration, “Championing Service,” under the

leadership of our International President and CEO, Charletta Wilson Jacks, aligns with the

international program platform: “Championing Service – Empowering Sisterhood – Transforming

the World.” Guided by this vision, we remain actively engaged in impactful programming that

strengthens the communities we serve. This year, we proudly awarded scholarships to students

in Tuscaloosa City and County High Schools to support their educational pursuits.

The theme for Eta Xi Omega’s current administration is Unity and Transparency, reflecting our

commitment to collaboration, openness, and continued excellence.
